About Windsor House, Inc.
Windsor House began with the founding of a single nursing home by attorney John Masternick Sr. and his wife Dorothy in Youngstown’s North Side in 1959. The company remains family‑owned, with John J. Masternick (the founder’s son) now serving as President and CEO.
Over more than six decades, Windsor House has expanded to about 16 or 17 communities offering skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and even home health services, primarily across Northeast Ohio with some presence in Western Pennsylvania.
Their offerings span multiple levels of senior care: licensed skilled nursing for 24-hour medical support, assisted living for residents needing help with daily tasks, memory care for individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and home health services for in-home support.
The company’s corporate office is located at 101 W Liberty St, Girard, OH 44420. Windsor House emphasizes values such as people, caring, commitment, and integrity, and even established a staff‑support foundation called W.I.N.G.S. (Windsor Initiatives for Needs, Guidance, and Support) in 2025 to assist employees facing hardships.
