Where the data comes from

Star ratings, inspection findings, staffing levels, bed counts, and ownership records come from official government sources — the health inspection and quality datasets that regulators publish for every certified facility. We refresh them monthly.

Some facilities also provide their own details — photos, services, visiting hours. When they do, we label it (“listed by the facility”) so you always know who is speaking: the public record, or the facility itself.

The rules we hold ourselves to

• Every facility is listed. Nobody can pay to be featured, hidden, or ranked higher.
• Ratings and sort orders are never for sale, and never adjusted by hand.
• Phone numbers, ratings, and inspection details are never hidden behind a form.
• We don’t sell your information, and no advisor will call you.
• Facility-provided content is labeled and reviewed before it’s published.

Something look wrong?

Government records can lag real-world changes by a few weeks. If you spot something out of date about a facility, tell the facility’s admissions team — they can submit corrections to the official record — and check back after the next monthly refresh.
