About White Oak Management
White Oak Management, Inc. was founded in 1964 by Oliver Kent Cecil and his wife Bettye. Their first facility was White Oak of Spartanburg; since then, the organization has grown under family ownership into a network of approximately fifteen healthcare facilities in North and South Carolina.
Their operations primarily consist of skilled nursing centers offering short-term rehabilitation. Several locations also include independent living apartments (four sites), assisted living buildings (two sites), and one dedicated memory care unit.
In 2024, White Oak became part of the National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) family, integrating into a larger, faith-based senior care organization.
White Oak’s facilities are regionally focused within the Carolinas, with locations including (but not limited to) Burlington, Charlotte, Kings Mountain, Shelby, Tryon, and Waxhaw in North Carolina, and Charleston, Columbia, Lancaster, Newberry, Rock Hill, Spartanburg (including North Grove and White Oak Estates), and York in South Carolina.
As an operating unit under NHC, White Oak now benefits from the broader corporation’s infrastructure while retaining its regional focus and family heritage.
