About Vivie
Vivie is the result of a merger between two long-standing Minnesota nonprofit senior care organizations, Knute Nelson and Walker Methodist, officially merged in January 2024.
Walker Methodist was founded in 1876 and evolved over decades from operating nursing home residences to managing a broader model of senior housing and services across about a dozen complexes in Minnesota. The combined organizations now carry over 150 years of service legacy.
Vivie is a nonprofit entity formed via merger of two tax-exempt organizations (Knute Nelson and Walker Methodist).
Vivie serves communities across three states—Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin—through a combination of senior living communities, in-home care programs, and rehabilitation and hospice services.
Vivie provides an integrated continuum of care: independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, hospice, home health care, rehabilitation, wellness centers, population health, and care management.
