About Vancrest Health Care Centers

Vancrest Health Care Centers was founded in 1960 by Dr. E. E. White, who established one of Ohio’s first geriatric hospitals in the former Van Wert County Hospital. His goal was to provide person-centered care to older adults in a community setting.

Today, Vancrest remains a family-owned enterprise led by Dr. White's son, Mark White. The organization is governed through its corporate entity, Vancrest Management Corp., and serves local communities through its integrated affiliates, including Therapy Solutions and Fountain Park Home Care.

Vancrest operates 13 combined assisted living and long-term care communities across western Ohio, serving more than 900 nursing residents and 350 assisted living residents. The chain provides a continuum of care including skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation therapy (Physical, Occupational, Speech), and in-home services.

Ownership and management are held by members of the White family (Carol, Mark, Scott White) and others, with Vancrest Management Corp. under operational control. Mark White serves as President (or CEO), Carol and Scott White have ownership and director roles, and Jon Bagley and Mark McCleery are corporate officers.
