About St. Francis Health Services

Founded in 1963 with the establishment of the Villa of St. Francis in Morris, Minnesota, SFHS has expanded to offer a broad spectrum of senior living and health services. Its mission highlights providing care animated by the Gospel and guided by the moral tradition of the Church.

SFHS is a not-for-profit, faith-based provider under the sponsorship of the Catholic Diocese of St. Cloud. It operates a range of senior living and care facilities—including skilled nursing, memory care, independent living, assisted living, outpatient therapy, and behavioral/residential services—across the state.

From its initial nursing home in 1963, SFHS expanded in the 1980s and 1990s to include group homes, additional nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and Alzheimer’s units. Over recent decades, it continued acquiring or developing new communities and group homes, now providing a wide array of services from skilled nursing to behavioral care.
