About Royal Health Group

Royal Health Group was founded in 1997 by Jim Mamary, who serves as President. It began as a family business focused on revitalizing nursing homes by blending corporate best practices with personalized, family-style care.

The company is privately held and family-owned, led by Jim Mamary, who is both owner and President. There is no indication it’s part of a public company, private equity, or REIT structure.

Royal Health Group manages 12 facilities across two states: Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Their facilities include locations in Braintree, Buzzards Bay (Cape Cod), Fairhaven, Falmouth, Lawrence, Mashpee, Middletown (RI), North Falmouth, North Reading, Norwell, Wayland, and Westerly.

The group offers skilled-nursing, rehabilitation, short-term and long-term care, assisted living, and in-home support, including a 'Royal at Home' program extending their services into clients’ homes on Cape Cod. They also promote specialized programs such as Russian language cultural immersion (notably at Braintree).

The first facility acquired (and still a flagship) was Royal Megansett Nursing & Retirement Home, which Jim Mamary purchased in 1997. Many facilities are TJC (The Joint Commission) accredited. According to CMS-based chain analysis, the chain has an average overall CMS rating of 2.8 stars, with average staffing hours ~3.48 hrs/resident/day, and includes one 5-star facility and two 1-star facilities.
