About Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina
PCSC is a not‑for‑profit retirement community organization founded in the early 1950s by Presbyterian churches and church leaders in South Carolina, operating in covenant with the five Presbyterian Church (USA) presbyteries in the state.
As a nonprofit, PCSC is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees and is mission‑driven rather than profit‑driven; all revenues are reinvested into services and programming rather than distributed to owners.
PCSC operates six communities across South Carolina, offering a full continuum of senior care services.
The organization serves seniors of all faiths and provides a range of living options, including independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled‑nursing, and short‑term rehabilitation.
In January 2021, PCSC became a member of Caring Communities, the nation’s insurance and risk‑management provider exclusively serving senior‑care nonprofits.
