About Ohio Living Communities

Ohio Living was founded in 1922 following the establishment of the Dorothy Love Retirement Community, which originated from a compassionate initiative by church members in Sidney, Ohio, after the tragic passing of Rev. W. Blake Love’s daughter, Dorothy. Originally known as Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS), the organization rebranded in 2016.

It is among the largest not‑for‑profit senior living organizations in the U.S., ranked 23rd by LeadingAge Ziegler–notably as a “not‑for‑profit, multi‑site senior living organization.” Ohio Living is structured as a 501(c)(3) public charity and supports a broad continuum of care.
