O’Neill Healthcare began in 1962 when founders John and Alva O’Neill opened Bradley Road Hospital (today O’Neill Healthcare Bay Village) in Bay Village, Ohio. They managed operations themselves as licensed nursing home administrators and gradually expanded across Greater Cleveland’s west side.

Today, the business remains family‑owned and operated, now led by the O’Neill family’s next generations, including their son John T. O’Neill and grandchildren managing operations, recruiting, staffing, and social services.
