About North Mississippi Health Services
NMHS is a nonprofit, community-owned integrated healthcare delivery system serving 24 rural counties in northeast Mississippi and northwest Alabama. It operates multiple hospitals, clinics, and nursing facilities, providing a broad continuum of care across acute, primary, diagnostic, and post-acute services.
The system traces its cultural roots back to community leaders in the early 1930s, and it retains a commitment to accessible and comprehensive healthcare, grounded in strategic planning and a focus on sustainable growth through its “CARES” values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, Smile).
NMHS is organized as a nonprofit and community-owned entity. It includes eight hospitals located in Tupelo, Amory, Eupora, Iuka, Pontotoc, West Point in Mississippi, and Hamilton and Winfield in Alabama, more than 70 primary and specialty clinics, and four nursing homes in Baldwyn, Pontotoc, Eupora (MS), and Hamilton (AL).
