About Magnolia Manor Senior Living
Magnolia Manor began in 1959 when the Rock of Ages Foundation deeded land to the South Georgia Methodist Home for the Aging, Inc.—later known as Magnolia Manor—to serve older adults in a Christian ministry context. The first buildings opened in Americus in 1963, including personal care and skilled nursing services, and over the decades, the campus expanded with apartments, a chapel, wellness center, and memory care facilities.
In the 1980s, Magnolia Manor expanded beyond Americus, adding communities in Macon, and later Richmond Hill, Columbus, Moultrie, St. Marys, Buena Vista, and Midway, Georgia. Today the organization runs eight campuses serving nearly 1,500 residents daily with multiple care levels: independent living, personal care, assisted and catered living, skilled nursing, memory care, supportive housing, and rehab therapy.
Magnolia Manor is nonprofit and faith-focused, with a mission to serve older adults through love and support, upholding values grounded in its Christian heritage. Though clergy and Bible study are central, residents from all backgrounds are welcome. The main office is in Americus, Georgia, and the organization employs approximately 1,300–1,400 staff caring for about 1,200–1,500 residents across all locations.
Key lines of service span a full continuum of senior care needs—from independent living through skilled nursing and memory care—allowing residents to age in place across varying levels of support.
