Lecom Senior Living

LECOM Senior Living is integrated within the LECOM Health network, an academic health system tied to the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Through its LECOM Institute for Successful Living, it delivers a full continuum of elder care services, including independent living, personal care apartments, skilled nursing, memory care, outpatient services, home health, hospice, and in-home care across northwest Pennsylvania.

The organization’s history traces back to the establishment of the LECOM Senior Living Center adjacent to Millcreek Community Hospital in 2015, which began as a 144-bed skilled nursing facility under the former Institute for Successful Aging. Since then, LECOM has expanded through acquisitions and development, incorporating Parkside independent and personal care communities and skilled nursing locations such as LECOM at Village Square and LECOM at Elmwood Gardens, reflecting steady growth through 2023.

The ownership and corporate structure is nonprofit in nature, operated under Millcreek Manor, Inc., doing business as LECOM Senior Living Center; LECOM at Elmwood Gardens, LLC is a Pennsylvania nonprofit limited liability company whose sole member is Millcreek Manor, Inc.

LECOM Senior Living operates wholly within northwest Pennsylvania, particularly around Erie County, offering various levels of senior services across at least ten communities and over 900 beds. It is part of the LECOM Health network, itself linked to a prominent osteopathic medical school and academic health system.

The continuum of care model is a hallmark of the organization, allowing residents to transition seamlessly between levels of care. The Institute supports access to geriatric clinicians, primary care, and consulting services across all senior living and nursing communities.
