About Kissito Healthcare
Kissito Healthcare is a chain of six Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing and rehabilitation facilities located across rural and small-town communities in Virginia. Founded in 1989, Kissito Healthcare, Inc. began operations providing long-term and post-acute care in the region.
The organization is structured as a combination of non-profit and for-profit ownership: half of its facilities are operated as non-profit corporations, while the other three function as for-profit limited liability companies. In January 2026, ownership and operations of all six facilities were transferred to Larry H. Miller Senior Health, a mission-driven provider of post-acute and senior living services, with the operational transition effective January 1, 2026.
