About Icare Health Network
iCare Health Network began operations after acquiring its first five skilled nursing homes in Connecticut on April 1, 1999, from a state-appointed receiver. These early acquisitions grew to nine facilities by December 2003, filling a need for behavioral health-capable long-term care in Connecticut.
Over time, iCare expanded both its geographical footprint and service offerings. A notable innovation was the opening in 2013 of “60 West” in Rocky Hill, CT—a nursing home designed for individuals with very complex needs, including those experiencing homelessness—described as the first of its kind in the U.S.
In 2019, iCare added Parkville Care Center (formerly Park Place Health Center) in Hartford, CT, which it transitioned from receivership to operation under its portfolio. In 2021, the company expanded into Massachusetts by bringing MissionCare at Holyoke into its network, and in 2024–2025 it added MissionCare at Bennington in Vermont.
iCare is a privately held company. It was originally known as iCare Management until formally rebranding as iCare Health Network in June 2018. The organization offers consulting as well as direct operation of facilities, providing services including skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, behavioral health, memory care, HIV care, veteran services, and substance use treatment (iRecovery), alongside outpatient therapy via Touchpoints Therapy and compliance tools through its partnership with LTC Integrity.
As of now, it manages around 10 care centers in Connecticut—including three Touchpoints Rehab centers, six Greater Hartford Memory Care Centers, and 60 West—and operates MissionCare facilities in Holyoke, MA, and Bennington, VT.
