About Greencroft Communities
Greencroft Communities began in 1922 when Haven and Arminia Hubbard gifted their 700-acre farm to serve the elderly; over the following decades, the organization expanded through founding or affiliating with several communities.
Greencroft is structured as a nonprofit, faith-based organization grounded in Mennonite values and overseen by locally governed boards. It focuses on a mission of service excellence, compassionate care, and creating dynamic living communities across its campuses.
As of December 2024, Greencroft operates nine campuses across northern Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois, serving approximately 2,450 residents and employing over 1,200 team members. In early 2024, it expanded into Illinois by acquiring Windsor of Savoy, which added 176 independent living apartments and 42 assisted living units.
