About Athena Healthcare Systems

Athena Health Care Systems was established in 1984. Its headquarters is located in Farmington, Connecticut.

The company was founded by a group of individuals with diverse healthcare backgrounds and has remained privately owned and for-profit since its inception.

Athena is managed by a senior leadership team led by founding partner Lawrence G. “Larry” Santilli, who serves as President & Chief Executive Officer. The leadership includes Michael E. Mosier (CFO), Judy Hyland, MSW, LCSW (COO), Stu Rosenberg, MBA (CAO), and Dreux Namnoun (CIO).

Athena employs more than 4,000 employees. Its facilities include skilled nursing centers, hospice agencies (four agencies across CT, MA, and RI), a private-duty agency, and at least one skilled nursing facility in Connecticut.
