American Health Foundation

A key development in AHF’s recent history is a June 3, 2025 settlement under the False Claims Act: AHF, its affiliate AHF Management Corporation, and three affiliated nursing homes (Cheltenham, Wilmington Place, and Samaritan) agreed to a $3.61 million payment to resolve allegations of billing for substandard skilled nursing services between 2016 and 2018. This agreement also included a five-year Corporate Integrity Agreement with HHS’s Office of Inspector General.

Financial data from ProPublica’s Nonprofit Explorer for “Ahf Management Corp” (affiliated with AHF) show that for the fiscal year ending December 2022, revenue was $2,513,418, with expenses of $2,447,301 and net assets of $11,780,134. Executive compensation included Suzanne M. Lehman (President) at $327,700; Mark T. Haemmerle (Treasurer/Secretary) at $182,511; Matt Lehman (VP of Ops) at $156,028; and J. Michael Haemmerle (Treasurer/Secretary) at $114,790.
