About Advanced Health Care
Advanced Health Care was established in 1984 by Ron and Pat Bode, originating as a private‑duty home care venture spurred by Ron’s experience as a nursing home administrator and his observation of residents' desire to return safely home. Within a few years, the founders focused entirely on in‑home care, gradually expanding to include additional offices in the Olympia and Kent areas.
In 2005, Julie (Ferguson) joined as co‑owner and administrator, contributing significantly to operations and involvement in professional home‑care associations. The company later established the ProCare Academy of Washington to train new caregivers.
Around 2018, Ron Bode began transitioning leadership to the next generation: his daughters, Lynessa (Stone) and Sharla Bode, both long‑time employees, took on co‑ownership roles. Lynessa leads marketing and recruitment, while Sharla serves as Vice President of Clinical Services. By 2021, ownership was fully held by this all‑female leadership team.
The company is based in Tacoma, with offices also in Olympia, providing a broad range of home care services—from basic personal assistance to skilled nursing and recovery care—all under RN supervision.
Advanced Health Care is structured as a for‑profit corporation, locally owned and privately held, with no evidence of public/REIT ownership or control; BBB records list management including Ronald Bode (President), Julianne Ferguson (Administrator), Sharla Bode, and Lynessa Stone as principals.
